Just the FAQs...
Q:
How can I sign up as a member?
A: To sign up as a member, fill in the application form available at
Join the Club and mail it to the Club with the
appropriate fees enclosed or attend Information Night
and sign up there. For new members, it is recommended that you attend
Information night. You will be able to get a first hand look at how the
Club is organized and you will be able to ask any questions you like. We
will also have tables set up with specific information on the Extended
trips.
Q: Where can I get an application form?
A:
Application forms are available at Join The Club or
Information Night or Contact
Us to request an application.
Q: How do I book a trip?
A: Call
the Club line 905-332-4320, listen carefully to the message for trip details
including bus and lift ticket costs, then leave a message with the following
information:
1. Your name.
2. Your membership number (found on your membership card).
3. The destination and date of the trip you wish to go on.
4. Names of guests you wish to bring with you and their ages
5. Any questions or information you are looking for.
Q:
How can I pay for my day trip?
A: We accept only cash in Canadian funds for all day trip payments
(we use it to pay for the lift tickets). Please bring as close to exact
change as possible.
Q: Where do I catch
the bus?
A: Our pick-up location is in Burlington at the car pool parking lot
located at the QEW and Guelph Line. It is located on the north side of the
QEW, west of Guelph Line. Occasionally, we are unable to use this parking
lot due to conditions in the parking lot. In the event you arrive at the
parking lot BEFORE departure time and there is no bus, either, the pick-up
has been moved to Burlington Mall in the Northwest parking lot, or the trip
has been canceled and for some reason you have not been notified. The
pick-up location is also the drop-off location.
Q: How can
I be on a bus with someone else who is going on the same trip?
A: When you call to book your trip, simply state that you would like
to be on the same bus with another member. Provide their name and
membership number if possible.
Q: If there
is more than one bus, how do I know which bus to get on?
A: If there is more than one bus, look for a Bus Captain, with a
silver aluminum clipboard. The Bus Captain has a list of who is on
which bus. They will direct you to the correct bus. If there is more
than one bus, we will typically have a quiet bus and a "not-so-quiet" bus.
You may wish to indicate which bus you wish to be on when you book your
trip. Simply state quiet bus or "not-so-quiet" bus. If there is only one
bus on a trip; "not-so-quiet" section in the back, quiet section in the
front.
Q: Do I
need to bring a lunch?
A: It's up to you. The ski resorts we visit have a cafeteria or
restaurant. Most of them also have facilities where you can bring your own
lunch. If you bring your lunch, keep it in a cooler or container.
Q: What is
the difference between a Basic and Full Membership?
A: Full Members pay lower bus prices for day trips. For
example, on a trip where a Full Member would pay $12 - $15 for the bus, a
Basic Member would pay $22 - $25. If you are going to participate in less
than 3 trips per season, it may be more cost effective join as a Basic
Member. If you plan to go on more than 2 trips, it is generally more cost
effective to join as a Full Member. To participate in an extended trip, you
must be at least a Basic Member.
Q: How many
people does a Family Membership cover?
A: Family membership covers the first two immediate family members.
There is an additional fee of $25 per child under 18 years. Children 5
years and under are free.
Q: Does
OHIP coverage protect me in the United States?
A: OHIP coverage while outside Canada is limited. It is recommended
that you have additional out of country medical insurance. This may be
available through the benefits plan at your place of employment. It is
also available through most financials institutions or CAA.
Q: Can we
play a movie or music on the bus while travelling?
A: There are audio and video facilities on the buses. If someone
asks us to play a video or music, it is up to the Bus Captain to decide
whether or not the movie or music is played. We need to be considerate of
everyone on the bus. Please respect your Bus Captain's decision.

Destinations with * asterisks *

A: Check Border Crossing for required
identification and documentation.

Club will be charged. Some resorts offer us a large group discount while
others offer little or no discount. In some cases, the resort may offer
some discount based on age. These discounts are passed on to members.
Q: Who is in charge of the trip?
A: Each bus will have a Club Director who is assigned the duties of
Bus Captain. This person is seated in the front row of the bus and will
identify him/herself just prior to departure. Please direct any questions
or concerns to the Bus Captain.
Q: Can I drop my kids off with the club for the day?
A:
All children, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult
member 18 years of age or over. If the trip involves crossing the
border and the accompanying adult member is not a legal parent or guardian,

Q: Does the club provide
lessons?
A:
The Club runs an internal lesson program called TIPS. Depending on the trip

one of my guests has a mishap at the resort and is hospitalized?
A: If you or one of your guests is injured, you will be tended to by
the Ski Patrol of the Ski Resort. If for some reason, you are hospitalized,
please ensure that the Ski Patrol knows you are there with a group so we
will know why you are not on the bus. We will need to know if you will be
