To our new members: If you have registered for your membership, we thank you. Our membership registrations will be processed by our volunteers in the coming weeks. You do not need your membership ID to register for extended trips, you can simply put NEW as your membership ID when registering for an extended trip.
Membership Cards: We will be processing all membership applications in the coming weeks and plan to have membership cards available for pickup at our information night on November 2nd. If you are not able to pick up your membership cards at that time, they will be mailed to you in November. Extended trip registrations put a ??? for membership ID if you can not remember or locate your membership ID from last year.
A message from our President:
With Labour Day Weekend upon us, signaling the end of the traditional summer season, it’s time to start thinking about our upcoming ski season. The Old Farmers’ Almanac released their long range Winter Weather Forecast for 2016-2017, and things are looking good for a strong winter in North America.
Over the summer months, our Board of Directors has worked hard to plan a winter that will ensure you have plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the expected conditions, most favorable to outdoor enthusiasts such as ourselves. We have an impressive schedule of 29 day trips taking us right through mid-March, along with an unprecedented 7 Extended Trip offerings that were unveiled at the recent Summer BBQ.
Our website is now ready to accept membership registration/payment and in early October, we’ll be opening up registrations for the extended trips. In response to feedback received at this year’s AGM, we’ll be implementing a few changes to the Extended Trip Registration process for this year, as follows:
· Monday, October 3rd at 12:01 am, registration will open for both January extended trips, including the Blue Mountain Overnighter & the Europe trip to St. Anton, Austria.
· Tuesday, October 4th at 12:01 am, registration will open for all February extended trips, including Sun Peaks, the Ellicottville Overnighter & Bristol Mountain Family Day Weekend.
· Wednesday, October 5th at 12:01 am, registration will open for March & April extended trips, including Red Mountain and the Banff, end of season trip.
Once open, registration for each trip will remain open until such time as it is sold out.
Please keep in mind that applying for an extended trip online does not complete the registration process – it simply holds your place in line, based on the time-stamp of the application. To complete the registration process, you must follow the additional steps provided and send all pertinent information & cheques to CSSC within 14 days to maintain your place.
